السيرة الذاتية للكايتن مايكل بنجامين لوكي كابتن فريق الهلال و الفريق السوداتي لكرة السلة له المغفرة و الرحمة
و صلتني في رسالة من أخيه الأصغر الدكتور روبرت بنجامين لوكي مدير الأراضي بحكومة جنوب السودان...
و السيرة الذاتية للكابتن مايكل له المغفرة تتكلم بالتفصيل عن حياته .... المولد و النشاة ..
مراحل التعليم و الدراسات العليا..
مسيرته الرياضية في البداية الإنطلاقة في نهاية الخمسينات كانت مع فريق المريخ مع رفقاء دربه و إحوانه
الكابتن وندر بوث ديو و كابتن شارلس بوث ديو .... ثم إنتقاله لفريق الهلال الذي قاده من الدرجة الثانية لدوري
السلة للدرجة الأولى و حتى أصبح الرقم الصعب في كرة السلة و كان البعبع الذي تخشاه كل الإندية في الدوري
و نال كثيرا من البطولات في ذلك الزمن الجميل لقد عشق مايكل فريق الهلال و بعد إعتزاله صار مدربا و مستشارا فنيا
للفريق و الفريق الوطني للسلة..
أختير الكابتن مايكل بنجامبن لمنتخب أفريقيا لكرة السلة كما أعطي لقب ثعلب أفريقيا
لشدة زكائه و مكره في الملعب فقد كان الكابنتن مابكل كالنحلة يجوب الملعب..
و بوؤع الفرص لزملائه لإحراز النقاط فقد كان ممتعا في لعبه كما كان ممتعا ووديعا خارج الملعب
لقد عاش يسيطا منواضعا و فيا لزملائه و أهله و أصدقائه ..

A Biography of Captain Michael Benjamin Lwoki
1) Michael Benjamin Lwoki is the son of Late Benjamin Lwoki, the veteran politician of South Sudan
2) He was Born into the Nyori clan of Loka Round.
3) Michael was born in Mukono in Uganda in 1946 when our late father Benjamin Lwoki was sent by the British for an Education diploma course from 1944-48.
Education:
4) Join school in St. Francis in Khartoum in 1952 and continued in Comboni College Khartoum till his father came back to the Southern Sudan after the military take-over of Ibrahim Abud in 1958.
5) As his father went back to teaching, Michael join Gulumbi Elementary School after which he briefly joined Comboni Khartoum and was send to Juba Commercial Secondary School in Khartoum in early sixties.
6) While a pupil in Comboni Khartoum he developed interest in Basketball, the famous sports in the school. This is the sports that made him a star nationally.
7) Michael sat for school certificate and joined college of Physical Education in the then Khartoum Polytechnic now University of Sudan in 1975.
8) He attained a diploma from the above mentioned institution and was offered a scholarship to Germany for a post graduate diploma in Physical Education in 1978.
9) Because of his excellent performance in sports he was offered another scholarship for a master degree that he successfully attained from Lezig-Berlin Germany in 1987.
Work Experience;
10) Michael worked in the National Ministry of Youth and Sports in Khartoum after graduation in 1974 till the CPA in 2005. While doing excellent job in the ministry and his sports performance, he was offered scholarships for studies and seconded to work in the Gulf Countries.
11) Michael worked in the United Arab Emirates-UAE from 1980-87 and again from 1990-2000. While in the Gulf Countries, he was a coach for the club El-Nisr el Riadhi at Ras el Kheima. He helped to develop this team from scratch till it became the champion of the clubs in Emirates.
12) After the CPA, Michael offered to come and serve his people in the field of Sports in South Sudan. He was offered a position of a coordinator in Khartoum for the GOSS Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports from 2005-2011.
13) After the secession he was appointed as Advisor to the Ministry in Juba a position which he held till his death.
Sports Achievement:
1) Michael led the Sudan National Team to the Arab World Championship in 1975. They took the trophy against the Iraq National Team in Kuwait City-Kuwait Kingdom. This victory earned the Sudan a name in the world sport.
2) Michael played for the African Continental team, chosen after the African Basketball Cups of Nations in Dakar, Senegal in 1976.
3) He was captain of el Merikh team that he played for since 1958 since his school days in Comboni College Khartoum.
4) He was to join el Hilal team that he helped to lift from second to first league. He also became the captain of the team till retirement from active play in 1980.
5) He was the captain of the national for almost ten years 1968-1978
6) He was the coach of the Sudan National Team.
7) Michael led the team for many years.
8) Michael will be remembered by the whole Sudan, South Sudan, Africa and Arab World. In the fields he was nick-named the fox of Africa.
9) Michael Benjamin Lwoki, the inspiring basket-baller and coach will be laid to rest in Loka Round, Lainya County.
His funeral is being held at his younger brother Hon. Robert Ladu Lwoki, Chairperson-South Sudan Land Commission-RSS and Chairperson of the National Basketball Federation at Block V Gudele.
