Mohamed Hassan Alim (Boshi) was kidnapped from his house in Haj Yousif on 20 June 2012 and released on 16 August 2012. He recalls that at least 80 people were released with him, most belong to opposition parties. This is his tenth and longest detention, where he was kept in solitary confinement for 8 weeks. This is his testimony.

Mohamed Dia Al-Deen, the representative of the Baathist Party at the National Consensus was arrested from his house in Omdurman on 23 June 2012. During his two -month long detention, he was kept in solitary confinement and was taken to the hospital a few times for medical assistance and check-ups. This is his 14th detention. On June 23 2012, Mohamed Osman El-Mubarak was detained from his house along with his wife, Mawahib Majzoub, and guests who were at their house at the time. They were kept for nearly a month in Kober and Omdurman Women’s Prison, respectively. The couple belong to the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) and are known for being very active and vocal in the struggle against the government.
