Thanks Jinni, You are not actually off the point-you are right on it. The heterodox political opinions in the North about Kiir’s ineptness are the result of the paradigms of the kind of the political punditry that we see in Sudanese press today. A failed argument is the result of inconsistency in arguing. The Sudan governing elite has had all the time in the world, and for over fifty years since independence, to develop its vision of the Sudan clearly and with an impetuous urge. As impalpable as it might have been, Southerners are not to be blamed for the identity conundrum which Sudan finds itself in. What Kiir is telling the world today, may not be politically correct in a world where anything perceived to be a grudge or un-inspiring on Islam is a death sentence. He is telling the world the whole truth which has been espoused by the governing elite in the North and with the resulting death of millions of people. So, this crazy idea that if we say this or that will alienate the Arab or Musilim is not for us.
