Re: الأحبة الافاضل : مطلوب ترجمة لنص بيان حرية التعبير إلى اللغة الإنجليزية (Re: فتحي البحيري)

The journalists, writers and intellectuals today facing systematic repression of freedom of speech, have to overcome the totalitarian censorship laws, especially the "Press and Journalism Law" and the "Literary Work Censorship Law". Today's cultural scene, which has been reshaped to the interests of the regime, reflects the level of censorship that only allows for half-truths and stifles freedom of speech as a result. For all of that, this appeal is to all intellectuals, people of conscience and all those who are interested in the values of freedom, justice, and equality to stand behind the following demands: 1. Deletion and suspension of all laws that suppress freedom of speech 2. Instating the right of individuals to publish journals, periodicals and literary work. 3. Instating that under the context of law, individuals are responsible only for their own work.

وصلتني الترجمة اعلاه من الاخ مصطفى حسين وهذا هو نص الرسالة بالكاملUstaz Fathi, Salam We don't know each other, but I've read your post on SudaneseOnline.com about freedom of speech, and here is my attempt to translate: --------------------------begin--------------------------------------- ""quote: Shakespeare The journalists, writers and intellectuals today facing systematic repression of freedom of speech, have to overcome the totalitarian censorship laws, especially the "Press and Journalism Law" and the "Literary Work Censorship Law". I couldn't find the Shakespeare quote, so I left it out instead of trying to "butcher" it 2. I don't have any "translator" credentials, nor do I claim to be fluent in either languages. Keep up the good work Regards, Mustafa M. Hussein
وسيصبح النص نسخة انجليزية للبيان مع خالص شكرنا وتقديرنا للاخ مصطفى
