Sudanese People Deserve Better
Dear President Obama:
Last week, U.S. Envoy to Sudan Scott Gration expressed his confidence that the April 11 elections in Sudan—the first since 1986—will be as "free and fair as possible."
This statement and the approval of your administration to it came as a big disappointment to all of us U.S. citizens who originally came from Sudan. We us have voted for you believing in your message of change. We were hoping that your administration would help the Sudanese people in their efforts to restore democracy
The Sudanese have been living in tyranny and hopelessness since the National Islamic Front took power through a military coup in 1989. We endorsed the CPA because it ended the war and because we saw in it a hope for democratic transformation.
The ruling party had done all that is in its power to stall the implementation of the agreement, resulting in the SPLA\SPLM decision to go South, awaiting the referendum in 2011 to opt for secession from the North.
As for the elections, the ruling party formed a biased national commission .drafted the elections laws in its favor, manipulated the census results and voter registration and gerrymandered electoral districts. It also used tactics of intimidation and co-opting of tribal and religious leaders spending tons of money to sway them to their side.
In Darfur, millions of Sudanese who live in refugee camps inside and outside Sudan were not counted and hence were deprived of their constitutional right to vote. Citizens of Niger and Mali were given land and official papers to vote as Sudanese.
In the US and elsewhere only a small fraction (less than 2%) were able to register due to the difficult conditions and requirements put in place by the commission.
Moreover political activity is severely restricted, politicians are intimidated and free access to the national media is denied.
Because of all of this, the Sudanese people’s Liberation Movement presidential nominee, Mr. Yasir Arman withdrew from the elections and so did Sadig Al-Mahadi, the former prime minister and leader of the biggest political party in Sudan. Despite the foregoing, the US envoy is announcing that the elections are going to be “as free and fair as possible”. This statement is an insult to all Sudanese.
These elections are seen by the ruling party only as means of staying in power and attaining some legitimacy.
Mr. President, we urge you not to ignore our people’s oppression or excuse their oppressors. These elections are deeply and fundamentally flawed and a sham.
The Sudanese people are always ready and willing to stand for their liberty and they expect the US to stand with them. They definitely do not deserve being ruled by thugs who continue killing their own people and are now tying to rig the elections with the help of the US. Bashir’s regime should not be granted the legitimacy he craves.

لماذا دائما تعتقدون ان في يد امريكا حل مشاكل السودان ولماذا تؤمنون بان امريكا هي ارض العدالة والحريات في الدنيا ...
عفوا ... امريكا دائما مع مصالحها الخاصة فقط ... فاذا وجدت مصلحتها مع المؤتمر الوطني فحتما سوف تصبح امريكا مؤتمر وطني وتقف معه وتدعمه ...
وبعدين باراك اوباما ذاتوا ماقادر يحل مشاكلوا الداخلية ناهيك عن مشاكل السودان ... فالحل يجب ان يكون سوداني اصيل .

وهذا هو الملطلوب.
الاخوة المنتقدين للتصرف.
هؤلاء مواطنين امركيان ومن حقهم مساءلة حكومتهم التي يدفعون ضارئبها عن تصرفاتها.
هذا عرف امريكي.
فبطلوا نقد لما لا تفهمون.
هذا من حقهم
كما من حقهم نقد الصرف على برامج حرب النوجم مثلا او دراسات الفاضاء او علم تقوم به حكومتهم.
ثانيا:
نحن لم نقحم امريكا في بلادنا
هي متضرعه ومتجدعه بمبعوثها القاعد يفتي بلا فهم في نزاهة انتخاباتنا.
لذا من حق الامريكان السودانين ان يقولوا لحكومتهم
مبعوصكم هذا اضحوكه عند الشعب السوداني.
يلا يا انعام ويا عاطف ويا كل الامريكان
وحتحاملي القرين كارد يمكنهم الكتابه كل زول نفس السنخه باسمه وسام زوجته واطفاله
اهو كل زول في امريكا بيعتبر زول حتى ما محتاج يبلغ 18 سنه
عشان يخاطب الرئاسه.
كثر النسبه عشان ترفعوا عدد المتضررين من هذه السياسه الخرقاء.

خطابي للرئيس أوباما
Dear President Obama,
There are better choices available to the Sudanese people than those your envoy Scott Gration is presenting to us. American policy towards Sudan, as represented by Mr. Gration, is based on:
• Tearing off the South;
• Consolidating the theological military dictatorship in the remainder of the country, starting with supporting the sham elections; and
• Solving the government’s problem in Darfur – rather than meeting the needs of the people of Darfur.
The majority of the Sudanese people, as expressed during the Juba Conference in 2009, have not given up hope of a better future, that comprises:
• Living together in equality, regardless of race, religion or culture; consequently,
• Maintaining the unity of our country; and
• Restoring real democracy, which is the key to solving all our problems (including the war in Darfur).
The role your envoy Gration is playing in Sudan does nothing to solve our country’s problems – it only adds to them.
In fact, the role he is playing is a great disappointment to the Sudanese people. We remember the just comments you made about the genocide during your visit to Darfur. We built hope upon your election, both because of your commitment and for what your election affirmed: that the principles of freedom and equality are essential bases for living together.
To ensure that the United States is not involved in the destruction of Sudan, please replace or withdraw your envoy Mr. Scott Gration, and let the Sudanese people, led by their democratic parties, solve their problems on the basis of equality, unity, democracy and peace.
