Dear Kobista Last week when some nearly came to blows on this list I decided to wait because I had stinking feeling we are dealing with another of NIF brutal fallacies. Now we got a partial admission that is trying to shift the blame away to a group used by the NIF for its dirty deeds and when things became hot it is simply abandoned. I do not like wars because they always cause more damage than good but I have to be realistic. I got no moral right to condemn everyone going to war if I cannot offer an alternative way. What can I tell someone who is condemned to be a fifth class citizen in his/her own country if they decide to go to war? This said all sides to war got responsibilities and surely all sides are committing the ultimate crime by using loose militias. The warring factions are responsible for the actions of their surrogates and no amount of protestation will allow them to deny responsibility. In the case of Sudan the irresponsible and murderous use of these militias got the country to the point of disintegration. Attitudes hardened in large part because of the actions of these militias. Apart from the failures of the politicians, the unity of Sudan was long slaughtered at the altar of the militias from Ed-Dein to Jabalain and now Kutum. Regards
