Re: US Lawmakers Scrutinize Sudan Peace Act (Re: Deng)
|
Dear Deng, Thanx, from here in Eritrea as a closed watcher to the current negotiation that is conducted between the SPLM & the GOS on daily bases, the both parties were given some days to prepare final proposal for thier vission about the conflicting issues power, wealth and the maginalized areas, and the expectation is so high that there will be agreat progress before closing this phase of negotiation which is supposed to be May 21st. It is because the GOS is in weak negotiation position specially after the outstanding job in the Darfour front, as per the program there are expected to sign the fianl agreement in June and the entrim Government is expected to take over in December, Weather this happen or not, bearing in mind the all thanks and the appreciation for the intrenational communiries and the USA specially for thier wonderfull cynical efforts twards peace building in Sudan, still we have the key questions to answer I mean we as the Sudanese have to answer : Are we ready to benefit from the major change that on its way? how, when, why? Are we qualified to build the real peace I mean the social peace, knowing that signing agreement doesn't mean peace is built, but it does mean that the ground is prepared for us to build the real peace? Do you think -Deng- historically we are matured to a ccomplish the peace mission and initiate the national program as Sudanese nations and not the (Almashoa Alhidari) I think we have a lot that we can contribute to the human civilization on this earth - I still remember the way many of us think the Identity issue few days in this board and this one of the practical obstacles for sharing the ground to grow the peace tree??????? To be continued Bakry
