Ahmed Mohammed Yassin......Sudan Mourns the loss of a son who has spent more than half a century in public service One of the first effective voices to challenge the presence Of British Occupation in Sudan The first Head of Parliment of the newly independant government headed By the late Azhari A tireless voice of independent thinking and democratic idealism Your list of accomplishments....I know I do not give justice to....for it is far too long for me to recount .....Your experience alone and your years in public service exceed the ages of the some of the politicians of our time......for you were from a generation that earned their position .....at a time when your mere presence was a challenge,,,,,you earned it after a tireless journey in education and knowledge.....nothing was given to you...nothing was handed to you....I wish our politicians..north and south...east and west... would just read a few pages of your life to reasses their postions and refocus their goals
Ahmed Yassin Father of Dr. Adel, Dr. Ismael, Bash Mohendis Salah Father of the late Suhair, and Salwa and Sabah Husband of the late Nafissa Umbabi Grandfather of Sowsan, Sara, Hiba, Hind, the 2 Mohammeds, Muntasir, Salah, Alya, Razan Razi,Tarig and others Patriarch of Aal AlUmda Family in Ondurman You were the last of the line....The older of all your siblings...you had remained a constant figure in our lives...the final word was yours On a personal note I shall personally miss you very much....but I trust you are in the company of your beloved Suhair ....you are also in the company of your surrogate son Mohamed Azhari and your friend the great Azhari and your siblings Hassan, Sayed, Yasin, Abdelrahman, Waslah and Nafissa and my father Khogali who loved you more than life itself Your lovong daughter always ....Hala
