A sudanese apostle from our time!

Reading that magnificent, self-sefficent “text”, written by my friend AdilAbdalaati about that live legend named Abdalla Algitay, I realised that a narrow space is left for my memories: only a few phrases could be added to the issue!

I don’t feel any stability in my fingers, it is also fragile and muddy under my feet! But, no way, I must” walk” through the “jungle” of memories!
To be able to create a new text about a man like Abdalla Algitay, I need to awake some memories deeply sleeping for along, long time, I have to mobilise all “positive “parts of my vocabulary too, but it is still too difficult “duty “to perform, it is even- I must confess- more difficult than to be a” utopian” in a world coined, shaped and ruled by the essence of pragmatism, or to try keeping your “outside-ism”, your authentetic identity against the harsh forces of cultural integration and political assimilation, or to defend the truth in a world which prefers to dream under a shelter built of warm illusions, covering itself with its own mythologies!.

To know abdalla Algitay, that means no less than a radical “change” in your everyday life, because it gives you a direct “access” to a world full of humanity, a universe of ideas and meaningful thoughts!
To meet hem somewhere, was a sign of good start of your day!
To talk to hem, that was the real pleasure!
To have a long conversation with hem, that means to be ready to percept high waves of knowledge, dressed in simple words easy to be understood, remined, and transmitted to others!
To find the entry to his library, that means a “real” epistemological discovery, something powerful, something magestical, something capable to explode the basis of your ideas-system!

It was a normal sudani summer day in 1984, when my best friend Abdalazeem Myheyldeen- (who is travelling alone,”bila zad wa la maa”, caring on his shoulders all depressions, miseries and frustrations of his generation -crossing the empty, fuggy and cold universe, and who never stopped visiting my thoughts and dreams since we met for last time during the winter of 198- introduced me to Abdalla Algitay in his simple house, in that mysterious city “Atbara”. That day was a crucial day in my life.

Abdalla Algitay was the spiritual leader, the most influential “intellectual figure” among those whom I use to call ”Al-igd Al-fareed”:Abd Alazeem Myhey Aldeen , Adil Abdalalaati,Mohamed Mirgani Almyzamil,Mohamed Abdalkhalig,Bakri gibreel,Mutaz bayoomi,Mohamed Abdalla(1), Mohamed Abdalla(2),Usama Gamer Aldeen, Gurashi, Maroof.
He is a real sudani Marxist! I still remember his reaction to my monotone, one- sided questions about Marxism: “the history of Sudan and the culture of his people, firstly, then Marxism”-he said to me twenty years ago!

When I met Abdalazeem Muhey aldeen for the first time, in 1983-afew months after our former president” Alnumeri” has lost mind, proclaiming ‘Al-sharia”- I discoverd that we were born to be cammarad for ever, when I discovered Adil Abdalaati a few months later, I added a new “intellectual dimension” to the “horizon” of my life, when I met Mohamed Margani Almuzamil Almuzamil, Mohamed Abdalkhalig, Bakri Gibreel, i was already “on the way”, but when I discovered Abdalla Algitay,I discoverd a totally different world!!

Abdalla Algitay is gifted with rare human qualities: attractive character, kindness, generosity, open hart, sharp mind and many other positive social qualities

Abdalla Algitay is one of those people who succeed to re-shaped my value-system, my way of thinking and my life style .He is one of those who showed me (The Way)!

Abdalla Algitay is a special, rich “chapter” in that “book” containing my poor and miserable life!

Oh Lord, absolute owner of Earth and Skies:
Take care of hem,
Protect his family and relatives as he protected us before when we were still weak,
Bless hem, he is our last apostle!!
