Dear Aymen
Thanks for bringing this research to our attention Spouse violence is destructive to both of them.It also reflects on children and society at large What I would like to add is the other types of violence against women which also threatens their marriage, health and peace of mind
STATE VIOLENCE
What I mean by state violence is what the governments do to hurt women or destroy them For example when General Bashier came to power he announced that the right place for women is their homes.Their main job is to look after their families which they already do.According to this announcement, thousands of women were dismissed from their jos,and became hepless Secondly many laws were issued concerning marriage, divorce etc. All against women Even the university education was not allowed in some colleges like engineering, medicine etc.,because they said this type of education is only for men. At the war zones violence is daily activity, where as women are raped, misappropriated, lashed or even killed.
This research is very important from my point of view giving the fact that Sudanese women are now over 54% If we are going to develope Sudan,we can never do that when women are treated like this. The rural women who are 95% of the total number of women in the Sudan, suffer from lack of education, equality with men in respect and dignity although most of them bring up the children and look after the family. They do all the manual work even building houses. Their health codition is always below normal scale they are also affected by lack of infrastructre in these areas which costs them alot of time and effort. That's why we always have these type of governments. The reason is these men were brought up with the idea of superiority. They were brought up with this faulse idea of superiority /I]
