Most second marriage cases are due to the lack of possibility, that first marriage could not provide it, which is the possibility of realizing oneself individually within such a total and naturally complicated and unlimited interaction, as marriage life dictates.
Most divorce cases and regardless to the different reasons the might have led to a divorce, are because of the lack of the communication needed and so understanding the needs of the partner from the relationship. The man role within the marriage does not end up in feeding the family only, it crosses to more dimensions in becoming, the role of soul adventurer". Moreover he should nutralize the traditional manhood thoughts, of ruling and dectating the relationship which are became unvalid and unproductive instruments with today's liberalized and educated women.
And so the wife’s role should not end up in the kitchen and or the bedroom. She should be aware of the hidden needs of her husband and express more deep willingness to become more than just a housewife, and this in realizing herself individually and parallel to her role as a soul mate. And this refined exchange of roles between both, would in great extend a wakes and keeps the respect and appreciation needed to carry on a healthy marriage.
I’m doubtless that all these points I have mentioned here, are clearly obvious to you, but we tend to not practice them in our real interaction, even with our friends.
Personal strategy

I would prefer to see my wife care more about her appearance and socializing with me , rather than spending hours in the kitchen; then communication especially during the first years of marriage , comes in the first place; so that future conflicts, that could possibly lead to a marriage crises could be avoided in forehand.
