A new executive office of Darfur Union in the United Kingdom was elected on Saturday, the 9th of January 2016, to run the day to day affairs of the Union for the next two years (please refer to the report issued on the 9th of January for details of the layout of newly executive office elect). One of the main objectives over the next few months is to reignite and to raise awareness of the just case of the people of Sudan in Darfur, across the United Kingdom, from the humanitarian prospective. The Union is aware of the task difficulties, since the world nowadays is paying more attention to hot issues and areas in the Middle East, nonetheless, it is important to raise awareness via approaching this multifaceted issue directly by tracking and reporting the atrocities committed by the Sudan regime lead by President Omer Al-Bashir, who was indicted by the International Criminal Court ICC on March the 4th, 2009 for committing crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in Darfur ( for detail refer to ICC report case number ICC-OTP-20080714-PR341).
As a result, Darfur Union in the United Kingdom has opted to provide a regular, monthly report, reflecting the hostilities, crimes and atrocities committed against the people of Sudan in Darfur in Darfur Province and also against the Darfur Students in various universities and colleges across the Sudan.
Here are the latest reported cases taking place in Khartoum and the village of Mouly, South the city of El Geneina, West Darfur over the last few days.
a) The targeting of Darfur students in Omdurman Ahlia University, in Khartoum, by the government security personals and pro-government troops. The incident happened on Sunday the 10th of January, 2016, after a gathering of student took place inside the university, the troops pick targeted students from Darfur on the basis of skin complexion, beating them with sticks, injuring some with weapons, and detaining a few students in notorious ghost houses run by NISS.
b) Simultaneously, hideous crimes have been taken place, in Mouly village, south the city of El Geneina, West Darfur, on the morning of Sunday, the tenth of January 2016. A pro - government militia backed by the Sudan security service personals attached the village market, causing chaos among the people there, where multiple rounds of live ammunitions were fired to disperse the gathering crowds. As a result, initial reports indicate multiple casualties, between dead and injured individuals. Below is the list of ten dead individuals thus far:
1/ Arbab Fadul Suleiman
2/ Fatima Mohammed Alhassan
3/ Ramadan Alamin
4/ AbdelRazig Ishag Jumaa
5/ Ismail Jumaa Abdelrahman
6/ Jamal Mohammed Ishag
7/ Habib Mohammed Yaghoub
8/ Suleiman Yousif Arbab
9/ AbdelRazig Mohammed Yaghoub
10/ Ali Adam

The situation on the ground is unstable and may escalate to more displacement of people and more clashes with the notorious pro government militia infamously known as the Rapid Speed Force (RSF). RSF are known for committing mass killing, mass rape and forced displacement of the people in West Darfur State.
From this stance, Darfur Union in the United Kingdom call upon the international community, and its various bodies, governmental and non-governmental organisations, advocacy groups and friend of Darfur around the world, to raise their voices, and put pressure on the Sudan government to stop targeting the civilians in Darfur, in and out of the Province. The Union also ask the various bodies to exert more pressure on the Sudan regime to allow humanitarian organisations to have full access to the affected areas to treat the wounded and to provide aid for the displaced people. We call upon the UNAMID forces on the ground to protect the civilians, and to perform their duties with dignity and professionalism by reported incidents taking place across the Darfur, and to execute the Mandate (Acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, the Security Council, by its resolution 1769) that is allowing them to exist in Darfur. The Darfur Union in the United Kingdom takes this chance to plea to the UK government to raise the issue in the United Nation by calling for an urgent meeting of the Security Council to speed the process of providing protection to the vulnerable civilians in the affected areas in Darfur. The world have said it before NEVER AGAIN, yet the world is slow to act when the push comes to shove.
We will continue providing regular updates about the current situations and developments taking place in Darfur. Copies of this report will be sent to the following:

1) Office of International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor Fatou Bensouda,
2) The Sudans Department, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, UK
3) United Nation, UNAMID Central Press Office, Kenya
4) Office of the Secretary General, United Nation
5) Office of the Secretary General, African Unison
