Sudan government forces and its paratroops of rapid support forces (RSF) and Janjaweed militias had launched inclusive attacks against Sudan Liberation Movement /Army’s forces in SLM/A stronghold of Jebel Marra. The ongoing attacks that started on Friday 15th of January 2016 in which the movement captured more than one hundred cars and Khartoum regime used class of weapons ranging from medium and long range artilleries and multi-rocket launchers and further Supported by more than twenty five warplanes came in multi-directions that successively repulsed by gallant SLA fighters , inflicting heavy causalities and death toll on the invading forces and seizing of a lot of war booties and military outfits which include, 4-wheel drive land cruisers, armored cars, trucks ,anti –aircrafts, heavy artillery, shells and ammunitions among others.
The attacks came in from different 5 axes as follows:-
1- South Jebel Marra axis
Areas of Gubu, Gurlangbanj, Sabon elfagur, Khartoum and its militias attacked these areas using 150 cars in which SLA fighters seized 35 land cruisers and 4 armored cars and killed more than 200 regime forces.
2- East Jebel Marra
Khartoum forces and its paratroops moved from Fanga in 150 land cruiser , 2 tanks and 4 armored car targeting areas of Dullu, Burgu and Rofatta; SLA forces defeated these troops and captured , 30 land cruiser and destroyed 30 others , 2 truck loaded with ammunitions, 2 armored car with 2 anti –aircraft guns plus hundreds boxes of different ammunitions and shells.
3- South West Jebel Marra
Areas of Kalokiting and Tore Khartoum forces attacked these areas with 170 land cruiser, 2 tanks and 7 armored car , SLA forces burned to ashes 2 armored car and one truck and captured another truck loaded with ammunitions.
4- North West Jebel Marra
Targeting areas of koron. Sirisam, Kilinj and Sorong the marauding forces used 200 car in this attack but SLA forces repulsed the attack and forced them to return.
5- West Jebel Narra
Khartoum forces and its militias attacked areas of Kanaga, Kuturum and Baldong with 200 land cruiser, 2 tank, 2 armored car and 2 troop’s carriers, in addition to attacking Golol with other 50 car
All these areas attached by Khartoum forces and its militias are under the control of SLM since 2003 .Khartoum regime resorted to its habitual action of scorched -earth policy of 2004 and indiscriminately bombarded villages , burning orchard crops and forced hundreds of thousands innocent civilians to seek refuge and shelter in top hills of Jebel Marra facing certain death, miserable conditions and humanitarian blockage by the genocide regime to finish them off.
