Sudan officially protests anti-Sudanese film in China

Khartoum-The Sudanese ambassador to China, Omer Issa , has officially told the Chinese government that Sudan is protesting production of a film that causes harm to the Sudanese people by some security bodies in a district in southern china. As some clips of the movie were displayed on YouTube, Sudan requested the Chinese government to delete the film from the internet immediately, and to offer an apology for Sudan. A source in the Sudanese community in China told Al-Tagyeer online edition that the film is a deliberate disgrace to the Sudanese people, especially it is produced by security bodies. The source said that the film is about a Sudanese youth resident in China and works as waiter in some Islamic restaurant who agreed with a Chinese youth to cheat on the Chinese traders before he was arrested by the Chinese authorities. The source said that the film was produced upon the illegal detention of a Sudanese youth by Chinese trader after his failure to repay debts of the traders. The paper quoted a diplomatic source as saying that the Sudanese ambassador to China has officially informed a high-level official in the Chinese foreign ministry that the incident causes harm to the Sudan and the Sudanese people given the fact that the film is produced by government bodies. Sudan has been maintaining good ties with China since early 1990s. China owns the lion share in the oil investments in Sudan. However, the trade and economic exchange between the two countries was extremely affected by the current Sudanese economic crisis after the secession of South Sudan that represents the source of the most of the oil revenues.
