Dear Adil Issac, Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I really appreciate it.
Quote: I feel others, like USA,can not control any country which does not want to be controlled or at least behave rationally and does its homework. |
I know that anyone or any nation that let itself be manipulated by others is guilty, but I am not sure if we should blame nations with illiteracy rates of over 90% on the course of actions they take and expectig "rationality" from them. I also think our history has witnessed too many military interventions by the world's bigest powers (AKA, Colonialism) that the natural cycle of our historical development has become so distorted and inconsistent.
I am not looking for justifications, but rather for scientific reasons for all the destruction our countries have undergone, I have really moved from the stage of self-condemnation to exploring the real causes of poverty and destruction. There is a theory called "The Vicious Cycle of Poverty" that tries to explain the poverty in the third world countriesbyt basically blaming "Poverty" on "inherent" characteristics of these nations, labeling them "backward" , and becasue of the backwardness of these nations they suffer from poverty, and of course poverty reproduces backwardness. I don't agree with this theory, I don't believe that any group of people is "inherently" bad or prone to manipulation. I do though, believe that the causes for someones' actions can be deemed "inherently" bad or unfair. Adil, please let me know how I can transform my "depression" about what's going on into a positive action??. How can we protect ourselves from manipulation? Is it by sheding our own identity and joing the parade? Does the problem lies within us, our culture, our values i.e can be explained in social terms or are there material grievences our nations have against and unjust world's system and distribution of economic powers??.
Warm regards to you
