مع الأسطورة آستون باريت – طوكيو 2016
سألته في الحوار عن Waiting in vain، فذكر أن تعاونه مع بوب لم يقتصر على العزف على آلة البيز، بل شمل العديد من المجالات من البنية اللحنية والمولدي الأساسي، إلى الهارموني الصوتي إلى كتابة الشعر، وذكر أنه كتب الأبيات الآتية:

"It is your love that I am waiting on
“
كانت تلك هي المرة الأولى التي يتحدث فيها آستون (فاميلي) مان باريت عن أغنية " Waiting in vain " ومساهمته الشعرية فيها، وهي المعلومة التي أوردها روجر ستيفنز في كتابه ( So Much Things To Say) مستشهداً بالأبيات أعلاه!
