A defiant Mr Bashir, 65, smiled and danced before thousands of supporters as he dismissed the warrant, which is expected to be issued on Wednesday, as "not worth the ink it was written with".
The crowd burnt an effigy of the court's Argentine prosecutor, Luis Moreno-Ocampo, and stamped on posters of his face at a ceremony on Tuesday to open a £1.2 billion Chinese-built dam on the Nile.
Referring to the expected warrant, Mr Bashir said: "They will issue their decision tomorrow ... this coming decision, they can prepare right now: they can eat it."
