I have responded in a previous post to Salah last year on Mohamed ahmed Omer. I differ with Salah's description of Mohamed Ahmed Omer as a mysterious person. The late Mohamed Ahmed Omer wasn't a mysterious figure in Sudanese politics. Any serious researcher can get detailed informattion about the late Mohamed Ahmed Omer. He was the editor of the Umma Party news paper in 1940s, and 1950s,The Nile. He was well known among the Sudanese political circles in 1940s, and 1950s. He was one of the most intelligent leaders in the Umma party. He was also known by his strong advocacy of Sudanese independence, and joining the British Comonwealth. Although he was a distant cousin of Imam Siddig Almahdi, but the late Mohamed Ahmed Omer was a leader of the secular wing of the Umma Party during the 1940s, and 1950s. One of his good friends were the Communist leader Hassan Eltahir Zaroug, the late Abdullah Abdelrahman Nugudallah, and Professor Mohamed Ibrahim Khalil in the Umma Party. If you provide me with your e.mail, I will send you next week, a major academic article in English about Israel relationship with some Sudanese parties Peace
