The Inhumane Practices in Darfur: the Plight of Marrah Village

There are disturbing news continues to emerge from Darfur about the human rights abuses. Darfur Diaspora Association (DDA) has learned that the Sudanese government forces and its militias still practicing sever and human rights abuse in many places in Darfur. According to our sources, the Sudanese force and its militias are torture civilians, rape women, burn villages, schools, crops; loot and kill the life stocks of people in Darfur.
Along with inhumane practices in Darfur, in June14th 2003, the Sudanese forces and its militias attacked the village of Marrah north of Nertitay town, and about 80-95 kilometers North-West of Nyala Province. Sven innocent civilian were killed, some unidentified persons were wounded, and about 400 livestock were looted in this attack. The following are some of the names of those who have been killed, and we are working hard to find out the names and ages of the others:
1- Adam Ali (Male) 35 yours old 2- Abakker Hassan (Male) 28 years old 3- Halima Abakkar ( Female) 28 years old 4- Ashaah Abbakar ( Female) 12 years old
Darfur Diaspora Association (DDA) appeals to the UN, human rights and aid organizations to immediately intervene and rescue civilians in these villages, and urges the human rights organizations and those who concern to form a neutral commission to investigate and stop the Sudanese forces and its militias campaign against innocent civilians in Darfur, and bring those who committed crimes against innocent civilians into justice.
