It appears that Dr. al-Nur is calling for Jihad once more under the pretext of what happened in August 2005. He seems to blame the problems of the North on southerners (al-junubien). He even blames SPLM for getting the Foreign Affairs and many other ills that have befallen the Sudan. It is the same wine in a new bottle, which we have experienced in the last fifty years.
If southerners make peace, they are blamed for having allowed the ruling party stay in poower, Addis Abab 1972. If they resort to war, they are also blamed as having decimated the progress of the country. Like Dr. Awad al-Nur, northerners don't even stomack the existence of a southerner walking streets of Khartoum. Their presence in the Capital is seen by Dr. Nur as a threat to the purity of their Arab blood, another Hitler's racial ideology of the 1930s in Europe.
Indeed, we do not know what our brothers like Dr. al-Nur want from the Southerners. They are not ready to let South go its own seprate way, and they are not ready to compromise with southerners in a way that will keep the unity of the country, if that what they want. But it seems that people like Dr. al-Nur want a complete subjugation of the South and want southerners to remain second class citizens forever. This what southerners have refused for the last fifty years. For the information of Dr. al-Nur, it is what southerners will never accept
