رحل العالم ومؤرخ المركزية الإفريقية يوسف بن جوكنان بعد ان ترك إرثا ضخما للباحثين عن افريقيا وتاريخها وهويتها... اعتبر نفسى من تلامذته منذ عام 1989 ـى منذ حضورى الى امريكا ومعرفتى بعدد من الكتاب والمؤرخين الأفارقة الذين كانوا ينشطون من خلال منظمة أسكاك

The great African writer Dr. Yosef Ben-Jochannan will be remembered as one of the great African historians who wrote in length and depth about Africa. We learned a lot from him. I myself loved reading his books and listen to his lectures and videos since I came to US in 1989. I still remember when he arranged with his colleagues to organize an international Nubian festival in Aswan, Egypt in 1990 and it was cancelled by the Egyptian government in the last minutes and Al-Azhar issued a fatwa saying that the festival was against Islam and the Egyptian media was drifted by an allegation that America and Jews are planning to separate Nubia and create a BLACK NUBIAN KINGDOM from south of Egypt, north of Sudan and west of Ethiopia!!! Dr. Ben may your soul rest in eternal peace!

'Dr. Yosef Alfredo Antonio Ben-Jochannan transitioned this morning at 3:30am. It was a peaceful transition while he was asleep. This was my last picture with him before he went into his last days. Its obvious he was not doing to well in this picture because usually he's up smiling looking into the camera. Thank you for giving the greatest gift of knowledge to our people and thank you for giving me the opportunity to meet and honor you several times while you were here having a Hueman experience with us God. Every moment I spent with you reading, talking and laughing was one in a million. I didn't lose a role model I gained the spirit of one. Sleep in Power King, Ase!
P.S Dr. Ben does not belong to me, he belongs to US. If you are not familiar with his work then start ordering his books and READ. If you cannot read then go to youtube and listen to his lectures. Their are plenty of heavy archives there. Condolences are not for me because the entire black community was hit with his transition.'
