REP:-Rally For the Release of the Sudan Political Detainees
You may have observed or pursued the escalating events in the crackdown on the peaceful demonstrations in Sudan as a result of the deteriorating economical situation, and the introduction of e what is termed, byAlbashir Regime, as austerity measures, which deeply impact the majority of the impoverished people of Sudan to the benefit of the ruling Islamist corrupt oligarchy?
It is to be noted that these demonstrations, although directly resulted from these austerity measure, but are also a manifestation to accumulated repression, monopoly of power and wealth (TAMKEEN), absolute absence of accountability, which inevitably led to corruption, dishonesty ,and illegal enrichment, and thus the public funds are lavishly squandered and illegitimately expended, and the allegation of the regime ,before 23years,to bring salvation and prosperity to Sudan, the outcome , under one party system, is wreckage to the national unity, and poverty of its community.
SUDAN now is TWO Sudan! This is the second fallacy of the ruling class.
It is also problematic that they are unable to deal with the new situation of the divergent new sovereign state of South Sudan., It is because the regime lacks capacity and competency, and unable to restore the already lost trust, especially after the indictment of its president by I CC at Hague for war crimes, and atrocities committed at Dafour which victimized more than hundred thousands of its citizens, and the problem still awaits rational resolution
The marginalized peoples in Nuba Mountain, Blue Nile, Bijja, and even Nuba of the North, raise their discontent of the regime, either in the form of armed uprising through specific political factions or Fronts /Sudan Revolutionary Front/or through the peaceful massive demonstrations and processions, like what is currently taking place in major cities.
Early July Sudan ‘s opposition represented by its political parties ,Umma Party Dr. Ibrahim Al Amin ,Communist Party Mohammed Mukhtar Al-Khateib, Popular Congress Party Dr. Hassan al Turabi and others reached an agreement /Democratic Alternative Charter /DAC/envisaged National Consensus provisions, in supporting mass people movement in its unions, syndicates, Association and organization to overthrow the totalitarian popularist regime through the uprising, and replace it by a civil democratic rule , considering this as a matter of National importance as declared by Mr.Farouq Abu Issa, head of National Consensus Front.
In this juncture, Solidarity Committee for Sudan’s Revolt-Canada is instituted to comprise all dynamic members affiliated to political Sudan Parties, all unions/Association regional or national/ all movements and Fronts that opt for the achievement of our National Goal in an effective modern democratic state in North Sudan, and open for all effective forces in this domicile Canada, Youth, irrespective of gender, patriotic characters, women, and all forces who stand in support of Sudan Cause for democracy ,peace and fair rule.
