Dear AbuBakr I have written the following in another post
Quote: Dear Atif, Talaat, and friends
Apparently you, and Talaat, and others have big expectations from Yassir, and SPLM, I don't. I have voiced my concerns severla times, criticizing the postion of Haq, and some active members of SCP in lining behind Yassir in his campaign. If you remember, I also voiced my concern regarding the failure of SCP to present a candidate in Khartoum and supporting Edward Lino. It is clear to any political observer in Sudan that the priority of SPLM is to establish an independent state in the south. The chairman of SPLM has expressed openly that the priority is the referendum in the south. Yassir's candidacy was a successful tactic from SPLM to force it's major partner, NCP to accept to its demands regarding some standing issues like the demarcation of the borderlines between the north, and the south,Abeiy, the pro govt militias in the south, the fate of millions of southern Sudanese in the north, the agreements regarding oil fields and installations in the border regions of the the north, and south, the Sudanese debits etc As a person who has supported the participation of the patriotic forces in the election from the beginning despite its laws, and looking to it as the first step in the democratic transition in Sudan, I think it is the time for ..the parties of Juba's alliance to take strong stand and boycott the election in all levels at this moment, otherwise, they would fail, and collapse forever Regards |
