The History of Press in Sudan
Sudan knew press during the Anglo- Egyptian era 1899-1950.The (Gazette) issued as bulletin in the year 1898 concerned with the laws issued by British Administration in Sudan to organize and codify the legal and administrative work in Sudan. And still continue until now.
The real start of the Press of sudan in 1903 when (AL- Sudan) issued by the Egyptian owners of (Mukattam). The Sudan has been issued twice a week till the year in 1941.
In 1919 issued the first Sudanese Newspaper named (The Civilization of Sudan) and the owner Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Mahdi and others were selected Sharif Hussein as editor-in-chief of a famous saying (People without a newspaper .. human being without tongue ) and continued till the year 1934 when it merged with the newspaper (Multaqa Al Nahreen) - the juncture of the two rivers- The new name was (The Civilization of Sudan merged with Multaqa Al Nahreen) and has been issued by that name even stopped in the year in 1938.
The Nile Newspaper issued in 1935 as the first daily independent newspaper mouthpiece of the Ansar, and chaired by Egyptian journalist Hassan Sabri then Ahmed Yusuf Hashim-the father of newspapers - ( Abu Alsuhuf ) appointed as editor-in chief .
The Voice of Sudan (Soat Alsudan) issued in 1940 ,daily newspaper mouthpiece of the Khatmya and daily newspaper , Mohammad Ismail Oshari Al sidiq and Ismail Qabbani and others worked as editor-in chief . The newspaper issued public opinion In 1945 Ismail Atabani, issued (Al- ray Al- aam)- the public Opinion.
In 1953 issued (Al-Ayam Newspaper) from AlAyam Company for Printing and Publishing by the owners (Bashir Mohamed Said, Mahjoub Mohamed Salih, Mahjoub Osman
