The American electoral system is the least democratic in the Western hemisphere, a small state like Wyoming, populated by less than half a million souls, elects two senators, the same amount as California, 45 million souls and the fifth largest economy in the world. American people elected Albert Gor 8 years ago, but Bush slipped in through the so called electoral college voters, Washington, DC, does not have a representation in the US senate and a none-voter member of the Congress. Castro is not a bloody dictator and has never been and while his brother Raul and Che were responsible for executing Batista's butchers, there has been only one case of executing pulic officials since '59, and it was general Ochua and his team in 1989 and I was by then in Cuba. Ochua was linked to Escobar's Cartel in Colombia and were smuggling drugs to the US and Americans had just finished off Noriega in Panama and the general got caught, nobody could believed it, and guess who came to rescue Castro and collaborated with his government in tracking down the general and his accomplices? Americans. Cubans are not trapped anywhere nor do they live in darkness because Castro never played games with Cuban people: American Curricula is taught in all Cuban universities, English is compulsory since first grade, the man never tried to indoctrinate Cubans to communism because most Cubans live in the cities which are suburbs of the big cities in the American south east, they watch every TV station in America even the Tele Marti, the anti-Castro one. the average age in Cuban is higher than in the US and the infant mortality rate is below 5 per one thousand and lower than the US, an accomplishment a Sudanese can only dream of, health coverage is free and so is education. Go to Cuba and you will never see a homeless nor a begger, racism gone. How could a country like Cuba outperforms the richest countries in the wolrd, in life expectancy, lower infant mortality rate,literacy, and even in the olympics? It is because Cuban Revolution brought real justice to most Cubans, that is why it lasted.
