Do We Have to establish a
Garaang Sultanate at the expense of the people?

All signs clearly show that the intense American pressures will yield
a South -North Sudanese deal. Albashir and his adherentsas well as Garaang political and militry upholders are concurring.It is
possible that the fighting in South Sudan might stop.

However it remains evident that it is South Sudan and not the country as a
whole that will be pacified. ALSO THAT CONCORDOR AMITY IS NOT SALABLE in
the  eyes of numerous Southerners and north Sudanese politicial forces. The reasons for unpopularity
of the albashir /Taha_ Garaang understandings are:-

  Its wraped manner in which it was negotiated,
  many of its terms are conspiratorial and exclusive.



• 
  

  Garaang and Albashir are leagued together
  in order to satisfy the carving of each of them for power and to
  accompolish the blind ambitions of their parvenus and snobs.



• 
  

  One obvious outcome is that Garaan will reign Sudan.
  In order to turn Garaang into a Sultan many political realities of national
  and international politics were totally dismissed. Among these the existence of national and southern
  sudanese potent politcal actors and forces.

  Also many outcomes of the civil war in South Sudan were omitted.these
  include:-

1. 
   

   The fact that the 20 year or more war has effectively depopulated South Sudan.Four
   millions of inhabitants of Southern Region were displaced- they moved to neighbouring countries or to the various North Sudan
   town.



2. 
   

   A sultanate requires Apopulaceto be governed. Obviously thethe
   axalted Garaang rule requires the resettlement and at ahigh 
   
   financial cost of millions of Southern Sudanese Migrants and refugees.



3. 
   

   The resettlement will entail the removal
   of the millions who have in the past exprienced great difficulties to flee the civil 
   
   warand settle in other parts of the Sudan -acountry of which they are rightful citizens.Sotheir forceful resettlement will envitably
   contradicts their citizen and universal human rights.



4. 
   

   The massive human movement- refugees resettlement requires huge international
   money ,logisitcs and techical expertise.Allof these iare sacrce and less effective inpersuading refugees to return to their original
   homes and ares.As it is the case of Afganstan and Eriteria millions will remain in areas of recent settlement and where they found safety
