Khartoum, May 9 (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Omer Al-Bashir, has praised the workers all over the country for their considerable efforts in serving the homeland and their firm stance alongside the state for confronting the unjust blockade imposed on Sudan.
Addressing the opening sitting of the 16th session of Sudan Workers Trade Unions Federation (STUFT) at the Friendship Hall, President Al-Bashir said that workers represent the backbone for realization of development in Sudan.
He referred to the strong support provided by the workers to the Armed Forces in its confrontation to the forces of evil and aggression.
He lauded the patriotic role of the workers during the aggression on Hejilij and their efforts to resume the oil pumping there in a record short time.

President Al-Bashir has lauded the contributions of the leaders of the Sudanese trade unionist movement throughout Sudan history for establishing a distinguished trade unionist movement.
He welcomed the leaders of the Arab, African and international trade unionist movement who are participating in the conference.
He appreciated the efforts of Sudan Workers Trade Unions Federation in realizing integration with the similar federations regionally and internationally.
He also commended the quick response of Sudan Workers Trade Unions Federation to call for leading the societal dialogue in the country, stressing that the dialogue has become a policy of the state and a will of the nation, praising the enthusiasm and awareness of the workers to complete the dialogue for realizing accord, stability and development in the country.
