The Sudan Liberation Movement/Army chaired by Abdul Wahid Mohamed Ahmed Al-Nour was deeply saddened by the baseless and unfounded accusations brought by U.S State Department on its press release issued on 18th of February 2016 that; SLM/A initiated the attacks on Jebel Marra; “Initial attacks by the Sudan Liberation Army-Abdul Wahid opposition group on Sudanese armed forces prompted a response by Sudan’s military that included aerial bombardments despite the UN Security Council demand that Sudan cease offensive military flights over Darfur.” Read an excerpt from U.S State Department press release. However; the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army wants to put into record the following clarification points: -
1- The baseless and unfounded accusation to SLM/A by U.S State Department is clear and unambiguous act of “give the victim a bad name and victimize him more policy” and therefore, it mainly intended to sharpen the appetite of Khartoum regime and boost its morale to continue unabated, its scorched-earth policy against the innocent civilians not only in Jebel Marra or Darfur but also in the Blue Nile and Nuba Mountain as well. Moreover; several tragic incidents had occurred in Sudan such as Al-Geinena Massacre on 8th of January 2016, Mass rape of Tabit last year of North Darfur and the ongoing genocide on Jebel Marra which killed hundreds of civilians including 30 children died inside a cave due to suffocation and many died because of harsh conditions and excessive cold, displaced thousands of innocent civilians and mass raped scores of women and children , not mentioning, orchard fields destroyed, properties destroyed and looted and villages burned , to all these crimes U.S State Department turned a blind eye as if nothing had happened, but the Department is quick to incriminate SLM/A, shameful indeed!!!!!.

2- The Sudan Liberation Movement/Army did not initiated the attacks on Jebel Marra and U.S State Department knows full well that, more than anybody or country else. But what is strange is that, U.S State Department takes its information from the government of National Congress Party(NCP) which continue the ongoing genocide in Darfur since 2003, war crimes and crimes against humanity in other parts of Sudan, that let to; killing of hundreds of thousands innocent civilians, burning to ashes more than 5000 villages in Darfur a lone and displacement of 3,000,000 people in Darfur and 2,000,000 in Nuba Mountain, hundreds of thousands organized mass rape to change the ethnic composition of the indigenous populations, usurp their lands ( Hawakeers) and replace them by new-comers from Niger, Mali and Chad and U.S State Department knows this undeniable fact. As a result; we have today in Darfur and neighboring countries more than 174 IDPs and refugees camps, these are in fact, concentration camps lacks everything be it food, water, medicine and shelter, even animals are not living in such inhumane conditions in an eerie silence of the world community.

3- The U.S State Department maintained a total silence since the genocide regime of Khartoum initiated its scorched –earth policy against innocent civilians in Jebel Marra on 15th of January 2016 to bring its final solution, today; the unarmed women and children of Jebel Marra have 36 days facing hell on earth, days and nights of unceasing aerial bombardment, thousands ton of bombs dropped on them by antonovs, gunships and Sukhois, in addition to, ground attacks by Khartoum’s forces and its paratroops of Janjaweed militias, Rapid Genocide Force(RGF), Border Guards (BG) and others. The Western world, and the only world’s superpower U.S that, claim to have concerns about violations of human rights and humanitarian law maintained total silence. We have every reason to believe that, Khartoum was given a green light to continue its crimes until final solution. In deal of collaboration with genocide system of Khartoum in order to fight Daish terrorists of Libya which is, truly making of Khartoum that, also created radical Islamists group of Boko Haram of Nigeria and al- Qaeda . Moreover; The Sudan Liberation Movement/Army has credible information; that the current U.S administration is work hand in hand with some gulf states to exempt Al-Bashir from the ICC, “national interests make strange bedfellows”.
4- U.S State Department biased and untimely accusation is coming in coincidence with pledges made by European Commission (EU)on 17th of February 2016 to give Khartoum 100 million euro to support Sudan stem irregular migrations ,while a great deal of this money will go to commission genocide and war crimes of Khartoum in all parts of Sudan. Genocide regime rewarded to stop its craft in a clear duplicity of international standards.
5- History had proved that, nations which faced holocaust, genocide and war crimes such as the Jewish nation during Nazi Germany, Iraqi Kurds during the time of Saddam Hussein and the Rwandans. All these nations fought their battle a lone and defeated their opponents. Furthermore; their crises became a national rebirth to them and today, it’s not strange that they are, the most respectable nations to, human values and to liberal, democratic and secular norms. We will also defend the cause of our people at any cost, until final drop of blood of every man or woman capable to fight and we have absolute confidence that, we will defeat the enemies of genocide and war crimes and achieve the regime change in Sudan, because; we are striving for survival, protection, self defense, history and for noble human values and rights.
6- The fact that, the current U.S administration wants to normalize relations with Khartoum will not deter us from defending our rights and everybody knows that; SLM/A did not initiated the ongoing genocide and heinous aggression against innocent civilians of Jebel Marra, but the true is, U.S State Department wants to find an excuse to its administration’s dealing with a pariah state like Sudan and therefore; it must criminalize SLM/A.
7- The Sudan Liberation Movement/Army reiterate several times that, it’s a peace –seeking , loving and working for movement .But which peace؟؟؟. A just, sustainable and lasting peace, a peace that will not be, by any way; smoke screen to a genocide regime to continue its crimes. In the peace SLM/A yearning for, if there is a single man or man complaining of insecurity in any corner of Sudan, it’s indeed; genuine and legitimate reason to continue the struggle until total security and peace is achieved.
8- The Sudan Liberation Movement/Army has long and arduous history in aborting international conspiracies against its people since Abuja, 2006 and therefore, no conspiracy or fire passing over SLM/A will destroy the seeds of our victorious determination, we will mobilize our every single man and woman into a resisting unit to face the challenges ahead and we are capable of doing that.
9- Finally; we appeal to the U.N Security Council, all peace –loving nations and human rights organizations to put pressure on Khartoum to stop its scorched –earth policy and genocide against innocent civilians in Darfur, Nuba Mountain and the Blue Nile and form a fact- finding committees to investigate crimes perpetrated against innocent civilians of Jebel Marra by The genocide regime of Khartoum.

Abdul Wahid Mohamed Ahmed Al-Nour
Chairman and C-in-C -of Sudan Liberation Movement/Army.
19th of February 2016.
