Information technology had spawned new types of crimes and increased the sophistication of many other crimes as well. Plagiarism was hard to commit and easy to be found, however, after the internet it become very hard to be found and easy to be committed. Phishing, pharming, viruses, worms, and Trojans are computer crimes spawned by the advancement in the information technology. The damage of computer crimes can severely affect individuals. Defining computer crimes is well established by describing its kinds. Yet the list includes
Exposing Children to XXX and violent contents
Identity Theft, Phishing, pharming
Plagiarism and Piracy
Frauds
Viruses, Worms, and Trojans. Spam, Spyware, and addware.
Hacking
Computer crimes tend to be more devestating and could be irreparable. Moreover, for crimes like Identity theft, everyone is vulneralbe to be the a victim. Please be careful with your personal belongings, generally speaking, any peice of information about you may set you as a victim of identity theft. In the US, an average of 7,000 persons per state per year are victims of identity theft
