تقرير خاص عن السودان - Parliamentary Brief - UK, www.thepolitician.org
|
www.thepolitician.org Parliamentary Brief has just published a special report on the Sudan peace process in its summer edition. It is essential reading for anyone with an interest in Sudan and the ending of its twenty-year-old war. The peace process in Kenya is receiving hardly any media overage. Many of the reports that have been coming out have been overly optimistic. This edition argues that peace is possible if the root causes of the war are understood and tackled and if the peace is underpinned by strong constitutional and institutional structures, with international guarantees and investment in the peace process. Pressure needs to be maintained - indeed increased - on the main participants, particularly the government of Sudan. Peace will not come cheap - either politically or financially for either of the two main combatants - nor for the international community. The report is available from our web site www.thepolitician.org as a pdf download and articles on Sudan are available through our archive. If you have problems accessing the report please email a request for a copy to be emailed to you direct. If you need a printed copy send your address by email. If you do not wish to be contacted by Parliamentary Brief again about Sudan, please email in reply. The website will host various responses to the report and up-dates as well as newly commissioned pieces over the next few months. Below are listed contents of the Sudan coverage in the summer edition.
