What name you choose for your new born child?

If you are married or gonna get married and live in North America or Europe and has chosen one of them to be your second home I'd like to share with you some of my long experience as a father and a migrated Sudanese. You may have noticed the confussion caused by your name, your spouse name or your child's name and you were asked to repeat it time after time and/or to spell it. Some of you might have experienced the discontent of their children due to their peculiar difficult-to-pronouce names, or the laugh ad joke by their friends. I here try to recommend four criteria to chose when you pick a name for your child who is supposedly going to live a great portion of his life away from home and will eventually attend school in his/her second home.
    (1) Avoid when possible choosing names that contain throat letters such as 7, kh, 3 ....etc
    (2) Stay away from names that bear consecutive vowels or a combination of a vowel and a throat letter such as Na3eem.
(3)Compound names are more problematic and are ussually considered two names. As well names start with definite article El or Al are dificult to pronounce especially when joined with the name.....so it's safe not to include them on your list of choices.
    (4) Whenever possible choose local names that are well known in the west and the world as a whole; such names are:-
    i) for boys: Mohammed, Ahmed, Omer Osman, Ali, Abdullah, Taj, Noor .....etc. Though Osama and Sadam are well known names but I don't recommend them.
ii) for girls: Amina, Sara, Salwa, Freeda, Nadia, Suzan, Muna, Hajir ....etc
Some names might be destorted unintensionally: for example Ibrahim will be called Abraham, Ismail will be called Ishmail.
    Thanx
