I wish I found some pointers to tell me what I was getting into
|
Dear New comers to this forum. As a new resident in this virtual Sudan I started to stumble through a few totally uneeded “stones” to find a good post. Then I began to run into Yasir Alsharief, Bihiri, Tamadur and a few others who added something to my day. Then there are others who are professional mud slingers and who get a great joy out of that. Others just roam the place, and I am one of those, except that I totally forget where I was when I last checked out of the board! During the past two weeks I came up with a few pointers and I thought to post them because I so needed some pointers when I first checked in.
1- Forget the catchy subject lines look into the columns to your right and check out the name of the sender. 2- If your memory is like mine and cannot remember who is who in the land of fake names make a list and a color code. For example KANDAKE gets the red that means whenever you see the name skip it and run as fast as you can, never be tempted. Yasir Sharief gets green which means don’t just wait to see him pop up, FIND him. Bakri Abubakr gets purple he is the landlord and most of the time he is posting something that you would want to read. That is very helpful if you intend to make a case for evicting your neighbor for disorderly conduct. 3- Ask yourself what’s the H... are you doing here? the answer will give you a good indicator whether you should read yesterday’s posts. 4- Time yourself. i.e. assign yourself a chunk of time to be “board time” and stick to that; this thing is addictive. Stay well and be good.
