Everyone can easily compare the Olympic charter (section Fundamental principles of olympism) and reports of organisations like Amnesty international or World organisation against torture. It is a human life, human dignity, what really matters. In one year, olympic games will be over. Do we want to look at Beijing 2008 as a totally wasted chance(and, to be precise, it is a greatest chance ever) to improve lifes of thousands innocent people tortured, killed or kept in prison?
It is not true that we are late. It is even not true that Beijing should not organize the games. We only need to use this great chance. That is the purpose of AOG 2008.
Plan of the AOG 2008 organisation:
* Organizing Alternative olympic games 2008 in a best quality possible
* Deadline is set: till June 1st 2008 Minimum Standards for Beijing 2008 have to be reached by China´s government
o All athletes qualified to Beijing 2008 who will sign Minimum Standards for Beijing 2008 will participate either:
+ on Beijing if requirements will be met
+ or on AOG 2008, if it will not be met till the deadline
o As you can read, it is not purpose of AOG 2008 to sabotage effort of Chinese people, its purpose is to force Chinese government to stop human rights violation. Our goal is: free Olympic games in Beijing 2008
* Despite we want OG in Beijing(with human rights standards), we would like to stress the message: we are ready to organize AOG if requirements will not be really met till June 1st 2008! If necessary, let Beijing stadiums empty. Let the shame being spoken. It is necessary to fight evil till last second!
