Khartoum, 16 May (SUNA) - President Omar Bashir on Monday reaffirmed Sudan's commitment to boost bilateral relations with the Central African Republic, to achieve the joint interests.
The president of the Republic on Monday received Mr. Bencambo Email, the special envoy of the president of the Central African Republic to the Sudan.
The Envoy has stressed that boosting relations between the two countries would help overcome many of the challenges in the borderline area, referring to the leading role Sudan play and its place with the CAR people. He said it was imperative the two sides cooperate in the establishment of economic projects given the huge potential and natural resources the two sides enjoy.
He also pointed out in press statements following his call on the president that he briefed the president on the desire of his country, CAR, that Sudan be a crossing point for it to the Gulf Region and to help effect sustainable development that would help CAR develop.
He said he has also conveyed to the president of the Republic, the greeting and appreciation of the president of CAR for the support it has been receiving from Khartoum.
