Khartoum, 16 August (SUNA)-President of the Republic, Omar Bashir on Tuesday recieved an official invitation to take part in the Nonaligned Summit meeting set to take place in Carcass, Venezuela, the invitation was handed by the Venezuelan ambassador to the Sudan to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Professor Ibrahim Ghandour.
The Minister who received the invitation commended the depth of the relations between the two countries
The Venezuelan Ambassador to the Sudan Anibal Jose Marquez Muns, pointed out on his part to the importance of Sudan participation in the summit as the Sudan is one of the founding members of the Nonaligned Movement in 1960.
On his part the Minister has affirmed Sudan participation in summit and that the invitation would be submitted to the Office of the President, expressing Sudan's thanks for the invitation and appreciation of the Sudan for the Venezuelan leadership and its backing for the Sudan in the UN Security Council and that the Sudan is keen to boost relations between the two friendly countries.
