Khartoum, Nov. 12 (SUNA)- The third conference of the Medical Sciences and Technology Academy is be held at Sharja Hall in Khartoum on the 29th. of the current month under the auspices of the Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Tabita Sokaya. The conference is to be held under the slogan prospects of health research in the peace stage. Chairman of the Academy Prof. Mamoun Homaida explained in SUNA Forum Saturday that the conference would tackled a number of research that have been carried out by Sudan which have found international interest and acknowledgement, particularly in the field of bilharzia and kala azar diseases. He pointed out that the conference would review in its three-day session scientific papers and research that would be presented by specialists from Sudan, US, Europe and other countries, noting that the final day would be dedicated for discussing AIDS disease in collaboration with World Health Organization (WHO), the Federal Ministry of Health and organizations which are concerned with combating AIDS. Prof. Homaida said that invitations are extended to some international universities and scientific institutions in US and Britain besides experts and researchers from Malawi and a number of Arab and African countries.
