A Libyan official source said Col. Kadhafi rushed his secretary for African Affairs, Dr Ali Triki to N'djamena to convince Chadian President Idriss Deby to resume the mediation.

Last Tuesday, Chad announced the suspension of its participation in the Inter-Sudanese peace talks after accusing Sudan of backing a rebellion against the regime in N'djamena.
