Sudan to host desert locust control conference next September
Khartoum, July 31 (SUNA)- Sudan will host ministerial meeting of Desert Locust Control Organization for Eastern Africa (DLCO-EA) on September 21-26
The meetings will be held with participation of Ethiopian, Eritrean, Jiboutian, Somalian and Kenya Ministers of Agriculture along with the host country, said a source at the Ministry of Agriculture in statement to SUNA
The meeting will approve last year performance report, discuss future performance and name a new General Manager
Sudan is currently presiding the ministerial council and the executive committee of the organization
The regional organization is combating locust and grasshoppers in coordination with United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization
