Presidency of the Republic Honours Prof. Al-Tayeb Haj Attiya
Khartoum, June 28 (SUNA) - The Presidency of the Republic honoured Monday the national expert and former Director of the Peace Research Institute, Prof. Al-Tayeb Haj Attiya
The Presidential Advisor, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, addressing the honouring celebration of Prof. Attiya at Al-Sharja Hall lauded his contributions to to trade unionist and public work, top of which the chairmanship of the Forum of the People of Darfur which was held in Kenana, the recommendations of which constituted the basis for Doha Darfur peace Negotiations
The Director of the Khartoum University's Institute of Peace Research, Dr. Mohamed Mahjoub Haroun, r`egarded Dr.Attiya as the teacher of generations in the field of social knowledge, adding that he wrote anumber of books including "My experience at Sudan News Agency"
