Arab Parliamentary Union Affirms its Support to the Framework Agreement
Cairo, Mar. 4 (SUNA) - The Arab Parliamentary Union has declared its full support to the framework agreement which was signed in Doha by the government and the Justice and Equality Movement toward paving the way for the final session of negotiation for ending the war in Darfur
This was included in the final communiqué of the Sixth Meeting of the Arab Parliamentary Union which concluding its sittings Thursday in Cairo
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir, has lead Sudan delegation for the meeting of the Arab Parliamentary Union
The Arab Parliamentary Union has appreciated the efforts being exerted by Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Chad and Libya for realization of comprehensive peace and solution of Darfur issue
Meanwhile, the Arab Parliamentary Union called for giving priority to the issue of the common Arab national security, stressing that the Arab solidarity under the current developments represents an essential bases for realizing comprehensive development, promotion of democracy, safeguarding human rights and mobilizing the energies of the Arab countries for achieving Arab unity
