The Free Man's will and the Challenge
By:Deng Mulwal
Today we have a beautiful story to tell to the world by narrating to the world, we mean the free world, the free from domination of the old colonial fists. Can anyone claim that the world already has gotten rid of colonialism? Theoretically yes, but practically an independent world is still far away.
But for the free world, we need to tell a new beautiful story about the
Sudan, our President yesterday inaugurated
Meroe dam. We know it is nonsense for people like Eric Reeves, John Prendergast, Save Darfur Coalition and all the hollow advocates against
Sudan. Before that time, the CPA was nonsense for them, the story of exporting the Sudanese oil was nonsense but for the above mentioned escalating the
Darfur crisis matters, ICC matters, expected indictment a matter and a new hostile umbrella aimed at damaging the beautiful stories and our renown reputation. Forget about them and let us tell the world that we are heading to our overall strategies of developing our country. Despite their blocks and their best media fast accusation, we just respond step-by-step, genuine steps targeting to strengthen our nation. For sure Eric Reeves, Prendergast, Susan Rice and so-called Ocampo we continue restlessly to conspire to turn a blind eye to our beautiful stories. But that does not matter to the free world, the world that supports its ideal measures and cares about others. And we are not in a position to put our nation's feet in the hands of one hundred of some interested lobbying powers in the West. We are not in a position to allow Ocampo even the small town Hague, and even the rest of
Europe which only matters to our continent when they were the oppressors and colonialists. The story tells that our constitutional President of the Republic who has signed as many as ten agreements CPA, DPA, ESPA and others and inaugurated as many as hundreds of development projects one of them availing facilities, the infrastructures, water dams and whatsoever matters to our development. The President calls it the RESPONSE and on our part we shall call it the free man's will and the challenge. And to whom it may concern,
Meroe is one of the oldest civilizations in our human history. To the people of the
Sudan, it was an inspiration of dignity, sovereignty, unit and overall defending our soil. Mr. Ocampo who is coming from the bad days of the colonial era stood yesterday in front of some television screen and declared that he was going to arrest our President whenever he leaves
Sudan. It is up to Ocampo or to anyone else to shed his dream. But the dream many times proves very far away from becoming a reality!
