South African President Thabo Mbeki starts visit to Sudan
Khartoum, Sept. 15 (SUNA) - South African President Thabo Mbeki arrived in Khartoum Monday evening on a two-day official visit to Sudan during which he will hold talks on bilateral relations and joint cooperation between the two countries. President Mbeki was received upon arrival at Khartoum Airport by President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, ministers and senior government officials. Minister of Foreign Affairs Deng Alor said in a press statement that the visit comes at the invitation of President Al-Bashir, referring to the regional and international weight of South Africa.
