El Gadaref, Sudan - As part of the UAE efforts to provide aid to victims of floods which hit the Sudanese State of Gadaref, a delegation of the Red Crescent Authority (RCA) distributed blankets, tents and foodstuff to the displaced persons in Banat and Mafaza areas. According to RCA Secretary General Dr. Mussa Saleh Al Taei, the RCA delegation provided aid to more than 2, 500 families in three areas. Crossing a distance of 600 kilometres, the delegation battled transport odds and succeeded to deliver aid to the needy, as directed by the UAE leadership, said Dr. Al Taei. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
