Khartoum - After 17 years of strained relations, Kuwait and Sudan are to resume their direct flights within the next couple of weeks, the Pan Arab newspaper Al Sharq al-Awssat reported, citing Sudanese civilian aviation sources.
Ties between Kuwait and Sudan had been strained especially since the 1991 Gulf War in which Sudan supported Iraq's invasion of Kuwait.
Kuwait had expelled hundreds of Sudanese workers after the war, but relations between the two countries improved in the late 1990s.
