Since ancient times Messirya believed to be the original population in Abyei besides to their brothers of Dinka Ngock who were coming from the deep south and settled there peacefully with Messirya but recently Dinka Ngock claimed that they are the people who established Abyei so now the Abyei region considered to be political problem between the two sides but we know that Dinka Ngock backed directly by UN representative in Khartoum Ian Pronk who urged Ngock to be alert in the issue of Abyei …
The IGAD appointed Abdalrasoul Alnour and Ahmed Alsaleh from Messirya and other prominent figures from Ngock and one American and other British and two from the IGAD countries these multinational committee went round Abyei to demarcate boundaries,they found that the Arab Messirya live in that region since nineteenth century the committee agreed on the legitimacy of Messirya to Abyei as a region not as a town and they stated that Dinka Ngock came after the Arab ..
But Dinka Ngock have full right of citizenship they have to live side by side with their Arab brothers but if Ngock seeking dismissing Messirya from the region such ideas may create misunderstanding, frankly every dispute could not serve Dinka targets …
Messirya tribes as a whole stated that the question of Abyei is not a subject for negotiations they only believe in negotiations that aims for coexistence I can dare to say that Dinka Ngock mobilized by other circles to create insurgent situation in that peaceful zone but I hope Dinka must learn the lesson before time pass right now time is passing quickly for the Dinka to discover that they are deceived by political people who are living in 5 stars hotels those who are living in the European Capitals they just seek to gain political gainings such people Dinka Ngock must try to avoid them …
The Ngock Sultans every time appreciate the brotherly cooperation between them and Arab Messirya the two tribes have bilateral relations since long ago but unfortunately some of Dinka tend to believe those who know nothing about Abyei and they had not seen Abyei before so we hope Dinka reject every dissident invitation from whoever it is, according to my knowledge to Messirya they are welcoming Dinka and confess that Dinka are their partners in Water & Pasture …
As well Messirya stated that if Dinka would not like to live peacefully and threat by raising the issue to UN here the Arab should look to Dinka suspiciously the Arab consider UN not the authority that could put an end to their right of Abyei Messirya in Muglad challenged UN representative Ian Pronk and refrained him to land in Muglad air strip his plane hovering round Muglad for half an hour after that Messirya gave Pronk 20 minutes landing permit because they accuse him by partiality to Dinka side, the political observers predict that if Abyei issue is a subject for foreign intervention the future of the region should be very gloomy …
Messirya in the summer season they shift to deep south looking for water and grass for their cattle so they seek reconciliation with Dinka without any intruders and warmongers who neglect the historical fraternity between Messirya & Dinka, so Messirya is important and active element for the unity and peaceful coexistence in the region, in the few past decades the region witnessed fatal wars between Messirya and Dinka and every side know the ability of the other the diversity of the two tribes some times leads to misunderstanding but their brotherhood and fraternity more than their fighting …
Finally I can bet that, the Abyei issue will be resolved automatically if the Dinka and all the tribes in the south vote for unity .. unity should bridge the confidence between them the lack of confidence is the main factor for the dissidents …
