THOURQUROUK (ABYEI)

Thourqurouk is my village,
It is my beloved village.

Thourqurouk is where I was born,
I left it some years back at dawn.

Thourqurouk is where I had a happy childhood,
Thourqurouk is where I had the happiest neighbourhood.

Thourqurouk is where I had peaceful years,
That is why I shed tears,
Whenever I recall those years gone by.

I still remember Doop Man-Nyanrek,
And Kol-Giem,
Where I used to take my bull, Matem,
For grazing.
