Enugu Rangers 4-0 Al Hilal
In Group A, Enugu Rangers also got a 4-0 win, crushing El-Hilal of Sudan.
Ebenezer Ojo's 4th minute effort got them off to a flying start - and just four minutes later, Igho Otegheri had made it 2-0.
Okey Enyiagu's 35th-minute then got a third for the Nigerians which demoralised the Sudanese.
And it was all over shortly after half-time, when Emeka Emedosi netted the fourth on 49 minutes.
