1 ديسمبر - اليوم العالمى للايدز

ثيمة اليوم العالمى للايدز (الذى بدأ الاحتفال به فى عام 1988 بمبادرة من منظمة الصحة العالمية) هذا العام هى: "اوفوا بالوعود: اوقفوا الايدز"، و ستستمر هذه الثيمة خلال الاعوام الخمس القادمة، للدفع نحو التزام قادة الدول الغنية بالحدّ من انتشار الايدز بحلول العام 2010! ومثل كل عام، تنظم مختلف المجموعات و منظمات المجتمع المدنى و هيئات الامم المتحدة و غيرها، فعاليات، خلال هذا اليوم و خلال النصف الاول من شهر ديسمبر. و هذه عادة فرصة للتوعية من اجل الحد من انتشار فيروس مرض نقص المناعة، و محاربة الوصم الذى يعانيه للمصابين/ات بهذا المرض، و الضغط لتوفير الادوية باسعار قليلة او مجانا.

فلتكن هذه فرصة لفتح الحوار (او اعادة فتح الحوار) حول مرض فقدان المناعة و الايدز، و كيفية الوقاية و غيرها من القضايا.

The World AIDS Campaign advocates for the fulfilment of the UN Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS and subsequent policy commitments on AIDS under the theme "Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise."

The Campaign aims to hold the world community accountable to the commitments they make, while at the same time highlighting the Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS as an important tool for ensuring a comprehensive response to the epidemic.

The World AIDS Campaign also aims to ensure individuals are actively engaged in the response under the theme "Stop AIDS. Make the Promise."

Why the Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS?

The agreement in 2001 by ######### of State and Representatives of Government to support the Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS marked a milestone in the history of the AIDS epidemic. It sent a signal from governments that urgency would be needed in addressing the devastation of the global epidemic with leadership, honesty and action.
While nations around the world have made previous commitments to respond to HIV and AIDS within their own countries, this was the first time they gathered to recognize that AIDS was a global crisis requiring global action.

The Declaration set out specific commitments the international community would work to fulfill upon their return home – including prevention campaigns, reducing stigma, building health infrastructures, providing necessary resources, and ensuring treatment, care and respect for people living with HIV or AIDS. In many cases, these commitments included specific deadlines, making the Declaration a powerful tool to guide and secure action, support and resources for all those fighting the epidemic, both within and outside government.

These historic commitments to action in support of a comprehensive AIDS response are not solely aimed at political leaders but at us all. Everyone has a role to play in responding to HIV and AIDS. We hope you will be inspired by these commitments and will support the World AIDS Campaign to ensure that everyone 'Keeps the Promise'. As Kofi Annan, UN Secretary-General, said at the Special Session, "All of us must recognize AIDS as our problem. All of us must make it our priority."

The World AIDS Campaign (WAC) from 2005 to 2010 is calling on individuals and groups to support the theme “Stop AIDS. Keep the promise” aimed at governments and policy makers. The intention is to establish an international campaign to hold our leaders accountable for their promises and commitments and take the action necessary to deliver on them.

Achieving this ambition requires more support and action than people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS are able to generate on their own. What is needed is the involvement of more people from many different walks of life whether they are individuals or groups whether they are part of a trade union or a faith group or part of the women's movement or a young person wanting a better world in the future.

Everyone can contribute whether that is by making your promise to support the campaign and its work or by actively promoting the campaign with friends and colleagues.

The World AIDS Campaign has been established to strengthen and connect together the advocacy and campaign activities targeting governments and other stakeholders to deliver on their promises and commitments. Whether that is with politicians or policy makers amongst the donor community or those countries most affected by HIV or indeed a multilateral agency or civil society the aim is to create a unified voice on the need to take the action necessary to scale up the response to HIV.

16Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

The intersection between violence against women and the HIV/AIDS pandemic

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence is an international campaign that has been used as an organizing strategy by individuals and groups around the world to call for the elimination of all forms of violence against women.

This year’s 16 Days campaign theme, as a continuation from 2004, emphasizes the connections between women’s human rights, violence against women and women’s health, and the detrimental consequences violence against women has on the well-being of the world as a whole.

The 16 days begin on November 25, 2005, International Day Against Violence Against Women, and end on December 10, 2005, International Human Rights Day.

(300) الف شاب مصاب بالأديز فى السودان

حزرت منظمه اليونسيف و برنامج الأمم المتحده لمكافحه الأديز من التنامى الأمرئى لمعدلأت الأصابه بمرض الأديز فى السودان و قدرتها أن (300,000) شخص تحت سن 25 سنه مصابون بالمرض الفتاك، قضى منهم (23,000) نحبهم تاركين وراءهم ما يقدر ب (60,000) طفل يتيم.

و قال بيان اصدرته المنظمتان بالأشتراك مع البرنامج القومى لمكافحه الأدز بالسودان ان الحمله التى ابتدرت امس بقاعه الصداقه بالتزامن مع الحمله العالميه تهدف لأحراز تقدم ملحوظ فى اربع محاور وفق الأهداف المتفق عليها دوليا من اجل الأطفال و دعت المنظمات الثلأث فى بيانها الى ضروره الأعتراف بالمرض و التصدى له بشكل فورى حتى لأ يزداد معدل الأنتشار و من ثم يصبح الأدز مهددا لمسيره التقدم فى السودان.

Quote: صدر التقرير السنوي للأمم المتحدة ، عن وباء الايدز يحمل صورة كئيب للمستقبل ويعكس صور ة مأساوية للحاضر . أشار التقرير إلى أن ما يقارب من أل 5 مليون شخص أصيبوا بالايدز في العام 2005 . وهى أعلى نسبة للإصابة منذ أول تقرير صدر في عام 1981 راصداً لحالات الإصابة بالايدز . كما إن هنالك حوالي 40,3 مليون شخص يحملون فايرس الايدز . أشار التقرير الأخير الصادر من UNAIDS إلى أن هنالك 4,9 مليون إصابة جديدة ارتفع نصيب القارة الأفريقية منها . وخاصةً المنطقة الواقعة جنوب الصحراء الأفريقي. فالوباء في هذه المنطقة شبيه بالطوفان أو ما يمكن أن نطلق علية طوفان وبائي. حيث يعيش 60% من المصابين بأفريقيا، 77% منهم نساء حوامل. أما جمهوريات الاتحاد السوفيتي سابقاً، ودول شرق ارويا، حيث الوباء عنقود منفرط. وكشف التقرير عن صورة محزنة عندما أعلن أن أكثر من 3,1 مليون شخص، توفوا هذا العام نتيجة لإصابة بفايرس الايدز ، منهم 570،000 طفل . ولقد كانت معظم الحالات بدولة بجنوب أفريقيا، التي سجلت بها 5, 1 مليون إصابة ووصف التقرير الوضع بأنة متدهور باستمرار. والأخطر من ذلك أن الإصابة بالمرض تصل إلى 29,5 % بين النساء الحوامل . وفى دول أخرى مثل بتسوانا ، وسيوزلاند ، تصل نسبة الإصابة بالمرض بين النساء الحوامل إلى 30% . في تصريح للمدير التنفيذي للأمم المتحدة للايدز Mr. Peter Piot.. قال : إن هنالك 9من 10اشخاص يموتون بالدول النامية نتيجة لإصابة بالايدز . وناد بان يتعامل العالم بجدية تجاه هذه الكارثة. وفى مؤتمرة الصحفي بنيودلهي أوضح أن هنالك 5 مليون يعانون من الإصابة بالايدز فى الهند . وبذا تكون الهند الدولة الثانية بعد جنوب أفريقيا من حيث الإصابة بالمرض. حاول التقرير أن يخفف من قتامه الصورة ، ومأساوية الوضع . فألمح إلى أن كل من كينيا ، وزيمبابوي ، ويوغندا ، وبعض دول الكاريبي . سجلت انخفاض في حالات الإصابة بالايدز

لك التحية والشكر على هذه التقارير الذي تنبه ذاكرتنا وتلفت نظرنا إلى هذا الغول الكاسر الذي يحصد شبابنا بالآلاف ، وبالرغم من أن الجهود الفردية والشعبية لها دورها في محاربة المرض ونشر التوعية ، إلا أن مسئولية الحكومات تبقى هي الأهم والأكبر ، فتوفير وسائل الوقاية والمعالجة والإحصاءات الدقيقة والشفافية كلها أمور لابد أن يكون للحكومات فيها الدور الأكبر ...
ولا يمكن للناس أن يتحدثوا عن إمكانية العلاج ، في حين أن غالبية المصابين لا يستطيعون تحمّل تكلفة العلاج ، ولا يجدون لها سبيلا . فالعلاج عندما يكون عالي التكلفة يعتبر كأنه معدوم ...
وفي الوطن يموت الآلاف من هذا المرض اللعين دون أن يجدوا من يهتم حتى بتسجيل حالتهم ، ناهيك عن بذل السعي لعلاجهم ، وأتقدم من هذا المنبر إلى الدكتورة تابيتا بطرس وزير الصحة أن تمنح هذا الموضوع أولوية قصوى ، وأن تجعله إحدى اهتمامات وزارتها ...
