My name is Fatma Elsayed and I am a Sudanese American student at Yale University under the History Department. I am honored to invite you to my event this Thursday, November 16th, 2023 to attend a screening of the Sudanese film, Goodbye Julia, taking place on Yale's campus.

With the support of Professor Jonathan Wyrtzen and the Yale MacMillan Center Council on Middle East Studies, we have invited the Yale community and the general public to watch this historic film of Sudanese history, with a QandA alongside the director, Mohamed Kordofani. The film was the 2023 Freedom Prize winner at the Cannes Film Festival in France and was recently announced to be Sudan's entry to the Oscars.

We are humbled to have Director Mohamed Kordofani join us to speak about his film, The details of the screening are attached below with the event flyer. Do not hesitate to reach out with any questions, and I am sure this event will be a historic moment of cultural diplomacy for Sudan in the United States.
