كينيون يرجمون مشتبه به فى هجوم على مدرسة حتى الموت

رجم سكان غاضبون فى لوكيشوغيو، اليوم السبت، حتى الموت تلميذا يشتبه فى أنه شارك فى هجوم على مدرسة داخلية فى المدينة الواقعة فى أقصى شمال كينيا، واحرقوا جثته بحسب ما أعلن مسؤولون.

وأوقف المشتبه به، وهو تلميذ مفصول من المدرسة، ثم قام سكان غاضبون باقتحام مركز الشرطة ليخرجوه بالقوة من زنزانته.

وكان التلميذ أوقف على خلفية هجوم على مدرسة داخلية أدى إلى مقتل خمسة تلاميذ وحارس أمني.

وكان المسؤول المحلى فى توركانا سيف ماتاتا أعلن "مقتل ستة أشخاص بينهم تلاميذ فى هجوم أدى إلى جرح آخرين".

وقال ماتاتا إن الهجوم وقع قرابة الثالثة فجرا (00:00 ت ج)، بينما كان التلاميذ فى ثانوية لوكيشوغيو المختلطة ينامون فى مضاجعهم.

وأعلن حاكم توركانا جوزفات نانوك، أن 18 شخصا أصيبوا جراء إطلاق النار خلال الهجوم.

ويشتبه فى أن الهجوم شنته عناصر من ميليشيا فى توبوسا فى جنوب السودان، الواقعة على بعد 200 كلم إلى الشمال من لوكيشوغيو.

وأضاف ماتاتا أن التلميذ المفصول، الذى أعلن مسؤولون أنه يدعى إبراهام لوتشور من جنوب السودان وعمره 20 عاما، قاد الهجوم.

وقال قائد شرطة توركانا رونالد اوبيلى: "لقد اوقف المشتبه به فى مركز شرطة كاكوما لاستجوابه حول أعمال القتل التى وقعت صباحا.. نحن نحاول التوصل إلى معرفة كيف تمكنوا (السكان) من الوصول إليه.. إنه أمر مؤسف".

وأعلن الصليب الأحمر الكينى، أنه نقل عددا من الجرحى جوا إلى مستشفى فى الدوريت لتلقى العلاج.

Seven people, six of them children, were killed in northern Kenya on Saturday when unknown assailants attacked a school, officials said.

Cattle rustling and clashes over grazing and farming land are relatively common between communities in the East African country’s north, and often escalate into revenge attacks.

The region also borders war-torn South Sudan, and arms smuggling is common, with Kenyan police having little control over weaponry crossing the border.

In a report, Kenya’s KTN television channel said four boys, two girls and a guard were killed during the attack on Lokichogio School, which it said was carried out by assailants whose identities were yet to be determined.

“The attack … is a painful reminder of the state of insecurity along the border,” Josphat Nanok, Turkana county’s governor, said on Twitter.

The region is awash with guns due to its proximity to unstable neighbors including Somalia, where al Qaeda-linked militants have been fighting to topple the government.
